Meet the Owner – Erik Mead

Owner Erik Mead is a Sacramento native with a lifelong passion for cars. Growing up in Landpark and Elk Grove, Erik began working on vehicles as early as junior high school. By high school, he was gaining hands-on experience at European Sports Car Garage. After graduating, Erik turned his passion into a business by opening his first shop, Midtown Foreign Auto Specialties.

Since 1979, Erik has been at the forefront of automotive repair in the Sacramento Valley. His current shop, Japanese Imports, has built a reputation as the best local car repair shop in the area. Erik’s dedication to quality service and customer satisfaction is the foundation of Midtown Auto Repair & Service Center.
